Personal project
Sonobe Framework
I built Sonobe on FastAPI for rapid development of modular, scalable APIs, with a decoupled core, plugin extensions, and documentation for people and agents.
Open-source release planned
The framework is not open source yet. I plan to publish its source; no release date is announced.
What I worked on
I built Sonobe to make API development faster without tightly coupling features to the framework’s core. Its architecture keeps modules separate so an application can grow without turning into a collection of scattered changes.
Developers can package custom features as plug-and-play extensions rather than editing the core. Sonobe also generates documentation for people and development agents, including docs, agent skills, and MCP support.
The framework is built, but its source is not public yet. I plan to open-source it; I’m sharing the architecture and direction here ahead of that release.
What it brings together
- Built on FastAPI
- Modular, decoupled architecture
- Plug-and-play extensions
- Extend features without changing the core
- Generated human & agent documentation
- Agent skills & MCP support
